I am running this idea by a few people whom I trust to be honest and critical where needed.

I am thinking about using the house with the idea of running a type of ''health breaks' whereby I take a group/individuals here in France. This is aimed at those who want to lose weight, get healthier/fitter and learn how to fast using the 16/8 fasting regime. Also, to get an understanding of how to eat a healthier diet and still enjoy (in moderation) the things that aren't good for us. As you may know, fasting means not eating any calories for a given time.  16 hours in this case. Then being able to eat during the 8 hour window before the fast begins again. Clients will be encouraged to drink plenty of water as part of the process.

Many people do not have the willpower to fast. I think that in a group environment they will find it much easier. Who wants to come all this way, spend money....and fail? The fast will start from 8pm every evening and finish at midday the next day. At this point we provide nutritious lunches. Every morning there will be long walks before lunch for those interested. The swimming pool can be used too. Cold water is great for the well being of both mind and body.

Evening meals are also provided and will consist of a starter (mainly salad type foods) main and dessert. Wine will also be available but limited to two glasses per person. Really? Yes. You see, this system means that people are only eating twice a day AND burning calories during the walks/swims. They won't have access to more food than they are given. Unless they WANT to cheat but I sincerely doubt they will.

7 nights at £110pppn. These prices are based on two person sharing. Now, if there are 3 friends, we have two rooms with ample space for 3 beds without being cramped. The price would be £95pppn or £665 pppw.

There will be 5 (drive to) excursions  out to places of beauty and/or interest. Not obligatory but included in price.  To the oldest market in Europe and the odd cafe for a coffee and a wee slice of cake. It's not a "lose weight"  type of retreat. It's also about realizing that you can often "have your cake and eat it" provided you stick to some rules and remain disciplined.

We have 5 rooms and all have a private bathroom each. There is a 3 person sauna too. There will also be two separate one bed ''gites' at the bottom of our land.  They are being created from a tiny house and the old stables. These MIGHT be of interest to some. Two sharing in a gite is £135 pppn. Stables and £125 pppn Le Nid

270x7= £1890 for stables
250x7= £1750 for Le Nid

Possible totals are 11,340 pw

Have a think for me please. Be very critical of the downsides. I need friends to be honest and tell it like it is.

Maybe even share the idea with your own friends the next time you are in company? Or email them the idea.

And throw any questions you like at me too.
